Some members may recall that about five years ago, we were considering offering groceries to our members at not only a significant discount, but also in many cases, better quality products than you can buy in a standard grocery market. Well, we’re back at it again! If everything goes according to plan, we will be partnering with Sysco Foods, Antonucci Seafood & Produce, and other vendors to bring our members superior quality products at prices even BJ’s and Sam’s Club can’t match.
This is the way it will work: Members will go to the Galway Co-op’s online store to place their order anytime Monday – Thursday. Payment will be made at that time and the order will be transmitted to the appropriate vendor. On the following Saturday, you would pick your order up at the distribution site closest to you. Galway and Broadalbin residents over the age of 70 will be entitled to free membership and free delivery with a $100.00 minimum purchase.
Initially, there will be a single distribution spot in Saratoga County. Other spots will follow in Albany, Rennselear, Saratoga, Warren and Fulton Counties. We will share more details with you as we get closer to launching this new member benefit that we are very excited about.
